Karen helps promote knowledge-sharing and collaboration through the Green Forum, an online community of professionals working towards a sustainable economic transition. Prior to joining GGKP, Karen worked with various international organizations such as the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity, the Asian Development Bank, and the Global Green Growth Institute, where she provided knowledge management support on projects on environmental conservation, climate change, and disaster risk reduction.
Karen is a former Professional Fellow for Sustainable Development and the Environment of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI), the U.S. government’s signature program to strengthen leadership development and networking in Southeast Asia.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Development Communication from the University of the Philippines and her executive master’s degree in Disaster Risk and Crisis Management from the Asian Institute of Management.
